Friday Photo

Friday, November 1, 2013
Hello Friends!

I am starting my first ever regularly scheduled blog post topic! I have been reluctant to commit to something like this because my medical school schedule is so unpredictable in terms of "free time." Still, I think I can handle it for now.

Each Friday, I am going to post a photo that captures something about my week. Photos may be from a weekly event, a craft project, the weather, something tasty I ate, my mood, the season, adventures with friends... the possibilities are seemingly endless!

This week's photo

I took this photo at Thacher Park. Today, it captures both the season of the year and the season of my life. Fall means changes as leaves turn and fall. This year for me, it means I'm interviewing all over the country for pediatric residency. One of these many programs is in a city that will be our home for the next 3+ years. We've loved living in Albany and are excited to see where our next adventures get to take place!

Unfortunately, we have to wait until "Match Day" in March to find out...

Do you have any photos that capture this season for you? I'd love to see!

    1. Thank you, Heather! Happy Fall to you, too!

  2. Beautiful! I love fall for its gorgeous colors, and leaf-covered ground. I host a photography party and would love to for you to share this!

Good luck on the job hunt :)

  3. Great idea for a friday photo! Haven't written anything on my blog in so long. I love autumn. When I first moved to LA I bought a winnie the pooh autumn leaves print to remind me of the missing season. Now I'm surrounded by foliage. Good luck with interviews!! xo

    1. Hi Caroline! Glad you like the Friday photo idea! Maybe you could start something like that - even once a month as some small motivation. I'm hoping it helps me :) I'm loving the fall here, except for the whole scrape-my-car-because-it's-30-degrees-outside thing. I'm headed to Cali next week for some interviews. Looking forward to the warmth! Hope your residency is going well!

  4. I could swear, looking at this picture you were in Michigan! Thats what it looks like here! BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks for linking up to Twirl and Take A Bow!
