Thacher State Park in the Summer

Saturday, October 5, 2013
Well this post is a little late, but we were at Thacher this morning and I realized I hadn't posted our photos from summer, so better late than never!

Thacher (aka John Boyd Thacher) State Park is part of the Helderberg Escarpment that overlooks Albany. It's just a quick 25 minute drive from our apartment, and while we'd explored the area before, we'd never hiked the Indian Ladder Trail.

The trail was a very easy and beautiful hike. (As you can see, I did it in flip flops). There are caves and a waterfall, which was just a little trickle in August... I know... quite a shocker.

We had a great time and will definitely walk it again in the spring when the snow has melted and the waterfall is in full force!
