For the first time since before we were married, Andrew and I made plans to visit Europe. We've both spent time in various parts of Europe, but neither of us had been to Spain, so that was our country of choice for this trip.
Given that we
only had about 8 days, we needed a manageable region, and I wanted some place a little warmer, so we settled on Andalućia. It was absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring in the off-season.
We rented a car and embarked on a southern Spain road trip. While we could have traveled via train, we really enjoyed exploring the countryside by car. (We've always been a fan of road trips.)
“There is such a place as fairyland - but only children can find the way to it. And they do not know that it is fairyland until they have grown so old that they forget the way.... Only a few, who remain children at heart, can ever find that fair, lost path again; and blessed are they above mortals.
They, and only they, can bring us tidings from that dear country where we once sojourned and from which we must evermore be exiles. The world calls them its singers and poets and artists and story-tellers; but they are just people who have never forgotten the way to fairyland.” - L.M. Montgomery
